COVER System by RDZ: The Complete Solution for High Comfort Conditions

COVER 20, 30, 40: The Panel
Cover System is the most successful system by RDZ thanks to the long experience and the steady research of the company into high-tech materials. The core of the whole system is the COVER panel made of moulded, expanded waterproof polystyrene (in conformity with UNI 13163), which has high mechanical resistance. It is combined with a special plastic film (thickness: 0,4 mm) in order to protect it from humidity and to improve its resistance to the deformations of the walking surface. These panels have a moulded surface with reliefs of 27 mm, so that the PE-Xc pipes can be slotted onto the tabs of the panel with pitches of 8.3 cm or multiples, while the special conformation of the underside not only acts as acoustic insulation, but it is also extremely useful in terms of adaptability to foundations. Moreover, these panels are provided with a tongue along the perimeter to connect them for proper alignment.
COVER panels are available in three versions with different insulating thickness (20, 30 or 40 mm) and different total thickness (48, 58 or 68 mm).
PE-Xc Pipes and TOP CONTROL Manifolds
COVER system by RDZ includes PE-Xc pipe (diameter: 17 mm), which is made of high-density polyethylene, electronically cross-linked and provided with anti-oxygen barrier in conformity with DIN 4726 – 4729, which guarantees even and stable cross-links and constant characteristics over time.
Pipes are distributed through TOP CONTROL brass manifolds, which are supplied as standard with self-cleaning measuring units for flow and temperature in each circuit, initial pipe fittings with inflow and counterflow thermometers and chambers (0-60 °C), shut-off valves (suitable for electrothermic heads). This manifold can be installed into cabinets or fixed to the wall by using a pair of brackets with vibration-damping rubber tops.
In order to meet the present needs of the market, RDZ also offers pre-assembled versions of TOP CONTROL manifolds, which make for fast and simple installation.
Versatile for every application
COVER is a complete and detailed system including high-tech components which are the result of RDZ’s long experience and constant research. It is a radiant floor system which represents an ideal solution for various domestic applications, even for renovated buildings. It allows great furnishing freedom and it can be also used as a summer cooling system, thus assuring high comfort conditions all year round. Furthermore, it guarantees homogeneous well-being, energetic savings, as well as silent and healthy environment (free from unpleasant air currents or dust circulation).
Easy functioning and high comfort
These are the main components of COVER system by RDZ: the boiler, the ultra-compact thermoregulation KIT - which is provided with manifolds and can be combined with radiators -, the insulating panels and the PE-Xc pipes. The boiler produces hot water flowing directly to the KIT, which mixes it so that it reaches the manifolds at a temperature between 30°C and 40°C. Water is then distributed from the manifolds to the whole floor installation. Room temperature is controlled through a thermostat. The result is homogeneous temperature all over the area of the system, which guarantees high comfort and healthy environment (free from mites or bacteria), thus avoiding the risk of blackening walls and curtains.
